  • 2002 Colarado D4D timing belt

My new 2002 Colarado (uk Prado) D4D has the timing belt light on, I have heard that its a 20 min DIY job to do the T/belt. Is this true and if so is there a "how to" guide anywhere on here?
Also how do I reset the light once the belt has been replaced?
Last question- will I need to do anything elso while I am doing the T/belt such as water pump/aux belts/tecsioners etc?

Mazi - You may want to try this question in the 120 series forum.

In Australia (where the majority of the form members are from), the 90 series was never
delivered with the D4D motor. The 95 series diesels here had the 1KZ-TE motor.

      Thanks for your reply.
Even in the uk the D4D are pretty rare and were only produced for a couple of years before the new model came out. The majority are 3.0td engined.
