  • Front Right Wheel Arch

    Hi all,
I recently took my prado in to get some new tyres at tyrepower. When I was driving home I drove over a few bumps on the road and I herd a grinding sound from the front right wheel arch of the car. They were just small bumps but at 80-100km. I’m not sure if it’s the suspension, cv or brake. It sounds like a metal grinding noise. I got under the car and I couldn’t see any obvious sign of anything wrong. Before I took the car in I had no problem with it. Does anyone have any advice?

    Cheers

Just starting with the basics, have you checked the wheelnuts? Do it anyway, loosen and retighten them (with a torque wrench if you have one) to make sure you can actually remove them later. I can't think of anything else that a tyre shop would need to touch. Tyre size is the same? Not something really crazy like a stack of stickon wheel weights brushing the rotor? Maybe jack up the wheel and give it a spin. Let us know how you get on.
