  • Help identifying electrical connectors

After stripping the interior out to do a major clean I came across two unused connectors at the base of the radio brackets near the front of the centre console. Can anyone shed some light on what these do? (GXL manual KZJ95 2000 model). Thanks.

I am looking at the FSM wiring diagrams.
Second photo I suspect is the socket for the auto-antenna relay.
First photo is a mystery as the manual shows no connector coming down that side of the centre. Can you give me the number of terminals, wiring colours and traces on all of them?
    cheers

Thanks for that. The antenna still works for what that’s worth. The 3 pin plug is a shielded cable with black, white and red wires in pins 1,2 and 3 respectively. The other is a 21 pin housing (20 small and 1 large) of which only 11 of the small pins are populated. There’s a largish earth(w/b) and another heavy wire (yellow/black) plus a few more as pictured.

Edit: best guess on the larger plug is second row climate controls in the centre console ?

Yep, rear console control box shows as 20pin with W-B in it for heater, dunno what Y-B is for.
Went through all the wiring looking for (I assume it is) a 3pin Denso type connector (same as the turbo pressure sensor connector) and drew a blank....
Perhaps if you buzz it out and it has earth/ACC/IGN wiring it was fitted after for a UHF or something?

I thought as much as the last owner definitely had a few extras that were removed, such as uhf, driving lights, winch etc, but the way it's taped into the clips and routed just looks too factory.

Without looking at my Prado I would think the 3 pin might be for the Second gear start & (Auto) O/D switches as from memory they are located on the drivers side of the console.
I note you have a manual so they would not be used.
