Long crank problem

Hi guys I have read a few threads on the long cranks problem but has anyone every solved the problem. My 2.7 TX petrol cranks for a long time before it starts. But once it starts the first time the next crank will be much closer to normal crank time ie 2 or 3 turns and it starts. And also the drive is smooth though if feels like power is a bit on the lower side.
iv had my mechanic change the fuel pump twice.

Anyone had a similar problem & solved it?

I'm not familiar with the 95 series petrol motors but my best guess would be something to do with the fuel supply lines/filter.

Update: just reading the workshop manual, it says either a problem with the ignition system or the fuel delivery system. There's a bit of a procedure involved with troubleshooting the fuel delivery system. I reckon you're best to get yourself a workshop manual before attempting to tackle it yourself. The fuel system is under high pressure so you've gotta be careful with how you troubleshoot.

Checkout ebay Australia. Theirs a bunch of manuals in there that are quite affordable. They're great to have as a reference guide when you're having troubles!

Iv noticed something recently. The car has been sitting in my garage for a few days now & fuel is very low, fuel light is on....it starts almost straight away. Iv been starting every morning to be sure and its been starting straight away every morning. To me that's saying something I just don't know what! Could it be pointing to a weak replacement fuel pump??
