Hi Guys! I know this may seem trivial however does anyone else have trouble with the strap that holds up the folding rear seats. This is the one that is under the seat and supposively hooks onto the hand grip above the back window. I have found it very short and tight, it looks like its mean't to pull down and lock but the strap is to short to even do that. Please if anyone else has this problem or knows a different place it should hook up to could you please let me. Thanks heaps guys!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Folding Back Seats
Once you have that mastered tdko, may I suggest (if you don't already know) you try & locate the centre row cup holders
Try & find them before searching Pradopoint please & report back ....for our amusement of course

Re: Folding Back Seats
Thanks for the quick response........ I do put the support leg down but the length is still just enough being a very very tight fit. there is velcro also on this strap and that doesnt even align properly.... As for the cup holder for the middle row seats being in the centre console is good although not if you want to grab something from inside the console therefore having to remove the drinks or if not remembering they are there tip the drinks all over the back seat....Great idea that was Toyota!!! However I love my prado, Love Love Love it so its a minor thing to rest of the features.. Also while I have you all, My son discovered that besides the air vents in the roof towards the back there is another vent on the right side opposite where the jack is that blows air when the rear air blower is on, just thought some of you guys would like to know. Thanks again guys great forum for prado owners

Re: Folding Back Seats
I always undid the velcro and hooked the plastic hook on while loose,
Then took up the slack once it was in position then did the velcro back up.
This made it nice and firm otherwise it was loose by the the time the hook slid down over the handle.

Re: Folding Back Seats
Tdko, that vent you are talking about is where it sucks air for the rear vents above the rear passengers head. If you havnt done so I would pull the rear inner 1/4 panel off and pull the qauze out, you would be surprised how much crap it sucks in and reduces air flow to the vents above especially if you have dogs in the rear cargo area and run the rear air, its definately not a vent that pushes air out, for suction only, if it is pushing air out might be worth checking that the pipe work is connected properly, you might not be getting full air flow to your top mounted vents. Re: Folding Back Seats
Thanks again guys for the quick response... Will check that rear vent to see if anything is blocking it... I still have concerns about my straps for the back rear seats as I still find they are too short, there is no slack and the little metal stopper button is hard against the hook so I cant go any further. I am able to hook it on the hand grip ony just, by pushing the seat hard against the window which doesnt seem right. Funny though when I open the window which is only a couple of inches, [as it's one of those clip windows not sure what these windows are called] the seat isnt as hard to hook on....Thanks heaps again for all of your responses...

Re: Folding Back Seats
eermm.... stupid question, but you dont still have head rests on do you? The back cover of the seat unzips and is a storage for the headrests. and if it doesn't have the head rests on you might be pleasantly suprised to find that there are head rests stored in said compartment. (or disgustingly shocked, as the headrests are bloody ugly, they look like something you'd find in an 80's model volvo. what were toyota thinking!).
failing that, just take the seats out. I have taken mine out and leave them out. don't need them and it gives me a bit more room for camping gear.
