    Del Prado,
Looks like you did your homework. Looks like a good job and a third of the price. Manufactured my own as well, but no where near the complxity of yours. A lot of angle aluminium, marine ply and MDF. It has lasted for 4 years over some very bad roads. Orginally fitted kitchen drawer runner, they lasted a few months then fitted ball bearing draw runners. I've now discovered they're giving up the ghost as they aren't as robust as first assumed so I'll go for some heavy duty numbers. I suppose when you carry a Tirfor, chains, etc, etc it puts a bit of a strain on the lighter models althought they are rated at 40 kg.

Yoyu've inspired me to go for version 4 as I like the doen low fridge arrangement. Mine sits on top of and is a pain to get to stuff even being roll out.

    Great pictures and text.

      thanks Wizard,

sounds like you've had a bit of experience.
this is my first one and can't wait to test it out offroad to see how it handles to the bashing & crashing!!
id seen a few other guys drawers and had the advantage of asking questions.
this is why i steered away from using aluminium angle to fix the runners and aluminium brackets to the unit/vehicle. it tears too easy under that load.
the ball bearing runners i got were from hettich and quite cheap. they are super strong though, and quite heavy.
yes i've seen alot of system's with the fridge on top of the drawers and thought i'd have the same problem you described. this is why it's down low. and considering i'm a short ass... and the fact that the bus will have a 2" body lift, approx 2" suspension lift and bigegr tyres soon... i thought i wouldn't even be able to reach the lid of the fridge!!

cheers and good luck with number 4

          Chris,

What pump did you use for your version of the LCOOL water storage system, and most importantly where did you source it from. (was it local - Perth).

Luke - Great job on the storage system, sorry to hijack the thread.

            Water Pumps

If your after 12 volt water pumps then try Camec in Welshpool. They will have everything you need. When I left Perth I still used them to get caravan stuff in Darwin, very helpful.

Have a look at the online catalogue for the pump you might need.

Thanks mate and yeah stole the idea from Ivan. Haven’t installed it all yet but it’s the next job on the list.

                Hi John,

I have bought a Whale in-line pump from Quinns Marine.
                Cost $49.00

These pumps are ideal for pumping fresh water or diesel fuel where a small, inexpensive pump is required.
Commonly used for bore water samples or moving diesel from drums or tanks.

                Features Amazon Congo

                • Current Draw 2.3/4.5amp 3/6amp
                • Flow Rate 18 L/min 36 L/min

                • Pressure 15psi 14psi

                • Head 10mtr 9.7mtr

                • Size LxD 166x38

                • Weight 500g 600g

                hope this helps!

John, I used a FloJet Compact, it is self priming, pressure activated and pumps at 4.3l/min.

I got it from the 12volt shop www.12volt.com.au for about $120

                    Cheers

                      G'day all,
Well the roller drawer system I made and installed has been well and truly tested at Land Cruiser Mountain Park. I somehow managed to get airbourne and the drawers took it all in their stride. To noise, no movement, no damage. I'm really happy, have a look at them in the photo section.

                      Regards
                      Deep Thought.
