  • Exhaust In Sydney

    Hi Guys,

Just chasing some advice from you guys on exhaust retailers in Sydney (preferably The Shire area) that you have dealt with. Anyone that you have a good experience with preferably as I will take business there. I am looking at a 2.25 or a 2.5 Cat back hi-flow system to replace my holey very noisy current set-up. Also, I have done a search on the site however haven't found the answer to this, but getting your exhaust done, will this help get rid of that annoying drone at around 2300 rpms? Any changes in economy, noise, power?

    Thanks guys
    Brett

Got my exhaust done today from a place called Kirrawee Mufflers (http://www.kirraweemufflers.com), a job well done by the guys out there. They installed a Redback 2.25 Hi-Flow system. Extremely quick service, the exhaust is neat and sounds great. The vibrations between 2000-3000 rpms are basically gone and can hardly hear the car at idle, so its much better than stock in that department. Its hard to say if there is any difference in performance at this stage, it does feel like it, however it could be wishful thinking. Time will tell with fuel economy which will be the best guide. If anyone would like some pics taken, post or pm me and ill get under there and take some.

      Re: Exhaust In Sydney

I'll bet your glad those vibrations are gone; my vehicle vibrates real bad at 2750 rpm & it is so annoying

Did you have extractors fitted or use the original manifolds?

I just realised this topic is in the wrong section :!:

      Cheers,

        Glenn,

Yes, I have now also realised that it is in the wrong area. I have done this in the past you know ops:

Now it is still the custom manifold, I think I will try and get the wildcat extractors at a later date, I wanted to do them both separately so I could comment on the differences, may help others that wanted to go either way.

But at this stage its not too bad, Ill do a decent drive and note the differences in economy.

Hopefully admin will slide this post to the right area...................

        MOD- Thread moved.
