For sale? Bugger... I was looking forward to seeing photos of the 'vertical Lamborghini door' you mention in your mod waiting list!!!!

That's the most lovely modification that I really want to put into my car, unfortunately, my wife is arguing so strong with this mod.

However, it seems that the car will not be sold, because the storm almost was gone last week, and I will "have to" keep it with me for years :twisted:

I am quite sure, not so long from now, you will see the Lamborghini door in my Prado. Wait me :mrgreen:

PS: I have to sell the TJM Aluminum roof rack, as the vertical door will look ugly with this roof rack and new sunroof.

Hi bros,

I will have to teach my missus to drive the Prado. RV 1997 3.4 petrol Manual.

I found that it will be quite difficult for her to change the gear if she can not see what the gear she put it in at the time. Of course, with an automatic gear, this issue is not the matter because it will show the number of gear position on the panel.

So, I want to have the installation that will turn on the light/number of what gear position I am in at the time whenever I change the gear.

I can make the light/number by myself (or order parts like that), but I don't know for sure how can I install the switch with the gear in order to get the light on.

Only one light that I am sure I can get now is Reversed light :mrgreen:


Is there any chance that I can do this modification or not?

One thing I think everyone has failed to mention, what would happen if you were out 4wding and you had an accident like a fall and either broke your leg or arm, ect, how is your partner going to get you out of that area to medical attention.

It is in your best intrest (this goes for everyone) that your partner knows how to drive your 4wd both on the road and off the road.

it should be right. we only expect bad thing does not happen but we have to prepare for all situations in our life.

Get a cheap manual car for the missus to practice her gear changing on, then when she id more confident, sell the cheap car and you shouldn't loose much on it...think of it as in "investment"
