Hello All had been to ARB and they finally they figured out that it was the Tow BAr that was creating that thumping noise .......for the time being have removed the tow bar and the noise has disappeared

I have a genuine towbar on mine and it rattles like crazy with a trailer on (empty 6x4). Might have to rig up a nut & bolt arrangement to hold the tongue in the reciever. Anyone done this?

Hi Smally. Mine had never been removed from new and had frozen solid so didn't initially rattle. Bright boy here decided to fix it by pressing out tongue and freeing it up. Now it has an annoying rattle. Plan is to remove tow bar and drill hole through top of tongue slot and weld a bloody big nut on top of hole where I can fit a bloody big bolt to wind down onto top of tongue when it is fitted thus stopping annoying rattle. good luck.
