  • Question on Pedders

Hi Guys i was wondering if anyone has tried Pedders stuff for lifting their 95?
I spoke to them the other day & they do Foam Cells all round & have a few spring lift height & weight load carrying options available.

I,ve been looking around for a 35MM Lift. I know a lot of people just go the 2 inch lift, but i'm worried about the longevity of my Front CV's at those angles.

Pedders do a 35mm or 34mm lift with Foam Cells for under a grand.

Just after a few opinions on the longevity/quality of their stuff??

    Regards, Jay.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Forget Pedders, they are just a compromise, they would only be any good if you stuck to highway travel. Get a set of EFS or OME, there is no problem with CV angles or longevity with a 2 inch kit, as the front will only go up by 38 to 40mm, the rear will do the full 50mm though.
97 VX Grande, with front & rear air lockers, ARB Sahara winch bar with tigers 11 winch, 2" EFS lift, 265/75/16 Achilles Desert hawk XMT, and more.

Hi I had Pedders springs on my 90 series and found them very good (3 years ), lifted the car and were soft and supple ,had lots of wheel travel. I did NOT use their shocks (shocking waste of money IMO ) I used Bilstien shocks. Most of the after market springs ,Lovels ,Kings, will give you 35mm lift , the car has usually sagged 15mm , thats were the 50mm comes in , no problems with the CVs. The Dobinson coils or EFS or OME ect springs are usually +50mm and are stronger with a firmer ride.

I have OME springs and shocks and according to the measurements here:

        http://rvcs-prodweb.dot.gov.au/perl/...1_FORS2981.cmd

Mine sits 30mm higher at the front and 25mm at the rear compared to standard (a rather flexible 40mm if you ask me).

I have a V6 HD springs in the front and MD springs in the rear.

Extra weight in the front consists of a 20kg bash plate, 50-60kg Bull bar and 40kg winch.

In there rear I have remove 3rd row seats and about 100KG of cargo (plus full petrol tanks at the time of measurement).

        EDIT:
BTW I don't need to worry about CV angles either
