    Flexing when towing is cool.

What's this about a 3" lift? What suspension are you running?

You do realise it is not a true 3 inch lift, the CV's do not like that angle for too long, and the rear diff would be off centre too much.

Your spot on Crooza, but 75 was what was on the box and it's much easier than saying 2 and a bit.....

lol. Yep, the springs are 3 inches taller than std, but they are soft, so when they are installed, it comes back to a 2 inch, and when you have a load in the back or your towing, they drop further.

I love it when manufactures (and some Prado owners) make dubious claims about their lift height.

Unfortunately, most are misled by the manufacturer. But they can get away with it because the spring is that much taller, but when installed, they aren't, that is when the claim should be made, and it should be an industry standard.

To tell you the truth, havn't had it in that long and have never measured the difference. Was just so happy to have decent suspension I didn't think much of it. Oh well, get's me everywhere I need to go and there aint too many places I don't need to go!!! Gotta love a Prado..........

TFPRDO; How about you do some detailed measurements so I can add the details to the 90's suspension guide? (see the thread for formatting)

                            • on a forum run up the powerlines track in mundaring, 3 inch lift, 1.5 inch bodylift, removed front swaybar, 80 series rear shocks and 33s was the only one not to lift a wheel though this section, and still had a bit more flex to go :P

am yet to extend (or remove) the rear sway bar
