  • Rear panard bar bushes issues!!! GO GENUINE TOYOTA OR ELSE!!

After a while all parts wear, right?
My prado got over 200 000 k's out of the original set of rear panard bar bushes (diagonal bar from chassis to diff).
I learnt a lesson in geniune v's aftermarket bits......
I priced toyota parts at around $300 because you have to buy the whole bar complete, whereas the aftermarket bushes by themselves were about $50. Mmmm, 300 or 50.................I went 50.
The 'nolethane' bushes i replaced the shagged ones with lasted all of about 9000 k's which I don't call "lasting a fair while".
The place of purchase gave me a new set under warranty, but for those who come to a point of needing to replace these bushes, save yourself a headache, time and stuffing around and GO GENUINE.
Don't be a tight arse like I was.

      panard bar

Hi Mick.If toyota sell the whole panard complete ,does this mean you had to get the bushes pressed or can they be knocked in and out with a mallet? :?:

When I replaced mine with Nolathene bush about 12 months ago I noticed both bolts were worn on the surface that fits inside the bush I fitted new bolts as ell and have not had a problem - Mick did you check your bolts ? maybe that is why they did not last
