I have heard that the 90 series suspension is the same from the 4runner?
Is this true?

from what I've read, I'm 99% sure they are the same. Just make sure you check the coresponding part numbers for both models

I can verify this, almost all of my suspension came from the states, and was for 96-02 4Runners

A quick look at Toyodiy.com tells me some parts should interchange even if they have different part-numbers. Just browse in there, YouŽll find what you need somewhere eventually.
