My prado need new shocks. To the date I got OEM shocks and it served brilliantly for last 17 years. I know all the after market shocks purpose build for AU conditions and users/manufactures swear by them. However I'm looking for feedback on people who replace with OEM shocks. If my OEM can shock last 17 years for the type of driving I doing, I'm happy to stick with it. Also to give you an idea, type of driving I done with OEM shocks; Fraser, Stockton, Vic high country, some out back NSW (some heavily corrugated), lot of trips to Brindabella here in ACT and rest is tarmac. Nothing extreme as CSR or Cape. Always reduced tire pressure, which may helped.
