I did - kind of. I managed to get 4 of the 16x7 inch rims (I have the RV model) and was going to fit them to my vehicle. The problem was I had previously spent $500+ on 5 ROH rims so wasnt sure if I wanted to replace them. The Toyota rims had been resprayed (very badly) and had a bit of rust on them. I got them sand blasted ($25 per rim) and then bought some etch primer ($25) and sprayed them myself using my $98 dollar Bunnings compressor and my $30 Auto One spray gun (previously bought for camper trailer repaint). I then tried to buy some silver paint but couldnt find any so bought some black auto paint ($30) and finished them off.

The rims have sat in my shed now for close to two years and I'm still not sure what I'm going to do. If I could get a 5th Toyota rim I'd probably do the change over and fit the ROHs to the camper trailer but getting that extra rim hasnt been a priority so its been a work in progress. Either way the Toyota rims will be getting used soon, as I am about to start replacing the BFG muddies on the truck after 87,000kms so they'll either end up on the Prado or the camper trailer.

Can't remember what wheels he painted but Joey painted his 120 rims black.
Check out his build up. Plenty of pics and info there.

I think ?Teza? had his powder coated. I have been trying to get someone in Canberra to do mine but no one seems to want to return phone calls or emails.

Far better off to get them powder coat for durability and scratch resistance.

Any painted rim is probably not going to be very each time you need to change a tire.
