    Hi
Anyone had trouble balancing sunraysias on a 90 series? Bought a set of white steel sunraysias recently and at 110 km/h there is a distinct vibration. This is despite the efforts of the local Jax Tyres franchises best efforts

Did Jax refit the tyres to align the red and yellow dots on the tyre to the rim?

    http://www.bridgestonetrucktires.com...0ask%20doc.pdf

In summary, align the yellow dot to the valve stem. If there is a red dot, ignore the yellow dot and align the red dot with the low point dimple on steel rims.

If this still does not work, you either have dud tyres or rims or both.
Get them to check/balance the rims to see if there is anything wrong to rule the rims out.

What tyres are on them, if they are old stock BFG's, there was a problem with them for ballancing. They could also be out of round if old
      OR
      the ballancing machine is out
      OR
the person doing the ballancing does not know what he is doing.

Hi Fellas. Had a set of new coopers a while back which were actually out of round. No amount of balancing would fix the problem. Back to another new set of tyres and hey presto - all good. I am with Croozza though in suspecting some of our tyre operators don't have a very good grasp of the finer points of balancing. Cheers.

Thanks for the replies guys. Put the old rims and tyres back on, and what do you know, car runs like clockwork. Had it up to 120, no problems. Cannot work it out. I am now off to have the stock rims sandblasted and resprayed. I want steel rims for the strength and did not mind the look of the white sunraysias (made by ROH). Disappointed, however have not seen many 90's with other than stock rims on.
