whats the biggest tyres i can get for my rv?

hey guys,
been looking at getting some new tyres and rims. Ive been looking through the forums and its just too damn confusing .

I want black sunraysia's with big A/T tyres. Ive got a 98 prado RV, with no lift, and no guards.

Can i put on 265/75/16 with 16 x 8" rims ? I do 4WD a fair bit so i dont want rubbing in articulation. And what offset would i use?

What is your current rim and tyre size? If you don't have guards I''d have to guess that you have an RV with skinny tyres and skinny split rims...?

Generally speaking, I wouldn't recommend 265/75R16 unless you have a suspension lift, because it'll rub. Save up for a lift, then get the right tyres and rims.

I am using 97 RV, should be the same as yours.

If you want to use 265/75/16, you can put it in your rig without suspension lift and it will not rub. However, that's for normal driving only, because space between the tyres and car's frame is very narrow. If you go off-road, your car will scratch your tyre and create many troubles.

You should use at least 35mm suspension lift or normal 45mm lift (aka: 2" lift).

If you really don't want to get suspension lift, and still want sth bigger than the original and no rubbing, the maximum you could have is 265/70/16. That's the previous tyre set i used => in some special cases off-road, the tyres at this size still touch your car's body.
