cooper st 265/75R16

I know a lot of people run these tyres (265/75R16) and think they are good, my concern is that my trye placard in the prado says the tyres I use must have aminimum speed rating of S and the cooper only has a speed rating of Q, is it okay to use these tyres or should I stick to ones with an S rating

Can depend on which state you live in as the law varies from state to state.

The law states that you must not run tyres that have a speed rating below 140 km/h which means that Q rated tyre are legal as a Q rating is 160 km/h.

A problem may arise with retreads & some special winter treads, I believe in NSW you must have a special label as their rating is generally lower than 140 km/h. (This may also be the case in other states :?: )
