Hi all,
I have a 2001 gxl TD manual.
Current tyres are 265/70/16 on aftermarket rims. I managed to find a set of factory Kimberley type alloys I've been chasing for ages and need to put tyres on them.
I have a set of new Bridgestone Duelers (840 HT) that I think would be perfect as the 265 are really noisy (Maxis Bravo type).
My question is will the tyres be ok if they are smaller in size? They are 245/70/16.
I would prefer a smaller width for economy & less noise as we hardly ever go off road. Putting them up against the current wheels you can see the difference.
Is this OK or will it effect the performance of the engine on highway drives (revving higher?).
Any info would be a great help.
Cheers
