  • Rubbing tyres!

If anyone could help? when turning tight in reverse i get a horrible tyre rubbing sound on my front right tyre on to the guard or something. does anyone know of a way to stop this from happening?

    cheers!

see what it is rubbing on first! if its the mud flaps you can remove them, or you can get your lower control arms wound forward, or you could cut out the inner guard. what size tyres you running?

umm ive got 31' by 10.5'.
i had a look. its not on the mud guard. its just above the mud guard. not sure wat its called. it doesnt look or feel like anything has come loose or moved for it to rub on it.

on full compression, and full lock, mine rubs on the plastic guard liner, is that what you mean?

although i'm running 33" tyres, I didn't think a 31" would come close to anything *shrugs*

Maybe get a wheel alignment, your castor (spelling?) might have been knocked out of whack.

what is the acual tyre size? if your castor is wound all the way back it may hit.. if you look at the adjustmant on your lower control arm you will be able to see if its wound back

What condition is you suspension,my truck was rubbing in the same places you mentioned, but I run 33" tyres andwheel spacers and the susp is fairly new, but not of good quality, so I've changed thefront struts/coils to Iron man are the rubbing is gone.
