  • Wobble - buckled or unbalanced wheel?...

    Hi all,

I recently rotated my wheels and placed the spare onto the rear driver's side. Since then, I've noticed that the car feels like it has a sideways wobble coming from the rear. I suspect that this could be because the wheel that was previously the spare is buckled. I recently had new tyres fitted and noticed that one of the old ones had uneven wear on the inside - it was worn more on one half than the other...

    Has anyone experienced this before?

    Cheers.

Cheers Chuck. I'm going to take in to get balanced and hopefully they'll detect any buckles should it actually be buckled. I still suspect a buckle because of the uneven tyre wear, but hopefully I'm wrong...

The tyre may also be out of round too. Or suffering from delamination between tread and carcass components as a result of damage.

The current tyre was brand new when I put it on - I haven't checked the wear on it yet... The wear that I'm referring to was on the old Grand Trek which as you say could quite possibly have been delaminated.
