    Hey,

Has any one used Federal Couragias M/T before? i was thinking of getting 31's and black sunnies for my 97 GXL Prado or i might just go for the Maxxis Bighorns.
So if any one knows about the Federal Couragias MT it will be great to hear from you!

    Cheers AB

    Re: Federal couragias Mt's

I have them on my prado in 265/75r16 and am very happy with them. I haven't done much offroading with them on the prado but I also run them on my sierra in a 30x9.5r15 and they get a real workout. great in slippery hill climbs through to rocks, dirt, mud and gravel. and in the sierra and prado they give a good road feel on the black stuff. the reason I fitted them to the prado was a set came up for sale on rims to suit, I was happy with them on the sierra so jumped at them for the price.
They do put out a fair amount of road noise but nothing you wouldn't expect from a mud tyre, and nothing unbearable.

If buying new I probably wouldn't have gone with something as aggressive for the prado, but thats because it sticks to the easy tracks as I have the zook for the hard stuff. but I couldn't say no to the deal. besides, THEY LOOK SEXY

Thank's MRW82 for you input they definetly do look sexy.
Every review i have read about this tyre says, they are a great tyre and you get your value for money. So i might go ahead and get them put on with black sunnies.

      Cheers AB.

        Re: Federal couragias Mt's

just as a little something extra for you. I've been doing a bit of hwy kms lately and the road/tyre noise was starting to annoy me a bit. checked my tyre pressures and all 4 were around 30 - 32 psi!!! (I musn't have checked the pressures when I bolted them on as I wouldn't have set them at that)
pumped them up to 38psi and the tyre noise just about halved and the old girl doesn't feel anywhere near as sliggish.

waiting for a nice warm sunny spare day so I can test them out on the beach, see if 20psi will have them float or if they'll dig big holes.

hahaha i was going to say most people say for a mud tyre they are pretty quiet.
How many k's do you think you'll get off them?
