    Hey Gary,

Your pm totally slipped my mind, apologies.

Unfortunately i'm not going to the GTG, still heading to Alice and there abouts at the same time but with a group of families from the kids school.

We are leaving early on the morning of Friday 3rd, calling in at a sheep station North of Glendambo, then stopping the night at Copper Pedy. The rest of our group are meeting us in CP Saturday night, then we all head to the rock on Sunday.

You are welcome to join us for the Adelaide to CP stint if you like.

    Cheers Adam

Sorry for not responding earlier Gary, unfortunately I only had names to take off the list thanks in part to the economic down turn. I believe our car count is now down to 35. We did at one stage have closer to 45 but that is the way of things I guess, sometimes life gets in the way.

Anyway I have updated the list and deleted the names that are no longer joining us. Fingers crossed no more pull out I suppose.

          Re: PP GTG Travelling Buddies

I'll actually be travelling to the PP GTG from South Australia  . That's because we are doing the Oodnadatta Track and a Flinders Ranges excursion beforehand (with a stopover in Wilmington with the in-laws) - well you've got to make the most of things!

After the PP GTG, we'll be stopping over again in Alice Springs for two nights before returning back to Darwin along the Stuart Highway, probably over two/three nights, including a night at Mataranka. So our PP GTG travel plans are:

Between 20-30 June: Oodnadatta Track (North to South) and Flinders Ranges via Wilmington
          2-Jul Wilmington
          3-Jul Painted Desert
          4-Jul Ross River
          5-Jul Ross River
          6-Jul Alice Springs
          7-Jul Alice Springs
          8-Jul Rainbow Valley
          9-Jul Yulara
          10-Jul Yulara
          11-Jul Alice Springs
          12-Jul Alice Springs
          13-Jul Banka Banka
          14-Jul Mataranka

            Re: PP GTG Travelling Buddies

Strange, I thought I had posted in here before about this but I can't make the GTG due to work commitments. A project is starting up beginning of June that will keep things pretty busy for a while. Not sure how much of June I'll be in Adelaide.

I know I've sent an email through to Mav to inform him of this and he responded but I'm still on the list of attendees

                Re: PP GTG Travelling Buddies

OK the Chester group of 4 is doing the following Pm if you would like to join or meet up

28th June Leave Melb for Port Augusta 2 days travel
Then up the Oodnandatta either all the way or cut across to Cooper Pedy
Arrive at Alice for the 4th

Making a bit up as we go along i.e just driving each day till sick of it or find something interesting.

I have spent the last year chained to a diary for a work project so i need a bit of make it up as i go along

OK the Chester group travel plans have been finalised and are as follows let me know if we can hook up somewhere along the track

                  Leave Melb 27th June Sat
Work our way through melbourne heading though the guts of VIC stopping Halls Gap first night then on to Renmak in SA for the second night Then Port Augusta
Arrive Cooper Pedy on Tues 30th June
We were then planning to go on the Odnadatta track on the 1st July and spending a night or two doing the loop from Cooper Pedy via Odnadatta Dailhousie Springs to Marla
The heading straight up to Alice

If we like the track we were planning on doing the whole thing on the way back thendown to Adelaide to do the coast and great ocean road on the way home arriving back in melb on Sat 18th July

Any and all travelling companions are welcome and i am flexible within reason to meet the needs of a group if it develops

That seems like a top trip Chester.

                    See you at Ross River.

Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

                          Re: PP GTG Travelling Buddies

Well I have had a couple of people who have had to pull out in th last two days and I am expecting one more will be a no show as they have not been in contact for sometime now, I have tried numerous ways to contact them but all to no avail so I am pretty much not expecting cruisin80 to show. If anyone knows how to contact this member could you please pass on to him that I would like him to get in touch to verify his attendance or not?

So at the end of the day I think we are down to 30 cars now unless more people drop out in these last few weeks, I really hope that does not happen.

                          Cheers
