Free Campground for those coming from Vic through SA

Hi All,

For those that are coming up from Vic and are looing for free camping areas along the way then I have heard of a campground at Port Parham just north of Dublin on the A1. A friend just stayed there the other day with his camper trailer on the way up from Adelaide and he said it was an excellent campground. Free to stay there for up to two weeks at a time and it has all ammenities. Below is a google map for it:

nice spot at port parham -its a popular crabbing beach -just out north of adelaide -although its a bit of a walk to get out to ankle deep water.

Another great free campsite for those travelling north is at Warren Gorge, 20kms NW of Quorn in the southern Flinders Ranges.
Suitible for trailers and vans, it has good bush camping with rubbish bins and pit toilets.

Great scenery and wildlife along with rock climbing and bush walking oppotunities for those so inclined.

Some fantastic 4WD tracks on the nearby Arden Hills Station.

BYO fire wood and water.
