Title: Miss March…

First 4WD journey taken back in February this year. We travelled from Sydney to the Flinders Ranges, Lake Eyre, then on to Alice and Darwin, and back through Mt Isa. There had been much rain in the previous weeks, with Lake Eyre in its second year in a row of flooding.

The rains flooded areas both to the north and south of Alice Springs, and coincided with treacherous floods in Queensland.. In the Centre, and elsewhere, roads were cut in all sorts of places.

We climbed Ayres Rock on our wedding anniversary, with our honeymoon year before consisting of a similar trip to this one, albeit in a Honda Civic hatchback, including the old south road.

The boys doubted the standard 150 ZR Shorty would pass the test. She wore her bush striping and ability to get through the creek beds and sand with pride. She deserved her title - "Queen of the Pack"

Description: This was on day 3 camping here with my mates. We spent the day hunting for the snow cap mountains, but found locked gates everywhere. So we settled into an afternoon of drinks and fun around the camp fire.
