Does anyone think for a second that bworths picture is the only one to have the photoshop treatment? I wouldn't mind 5 bob each way on the fact that one or more of the other pics has been altered from the original, only difference is that one was blatantly obvious and the others maybe not so obvious.
If anyone is not happy with the outcome of the comp you could always make your own calander, at least you would be happy with the Prado in each pic

Gents, the request from bworth has been made. Essentially there are no specific clauses in the terms that make it a void entry. As this is the first time the comp has been run, there are things that will pop up, including this, that will refine the rules next time it is run. I am a little reluctant to pull the entry for this reason. It is after all the members that will determine the winner of this month.
I had a good laugh at bworths pic, and I'd be happy if it won the day too. If we were going to get crazy with the rules, then I'd chuck out half of the pics for poor composition, lighting, out-of-focus, etc. That would allow 'better quality' pics get a viewing and chance to appear on the calendar. At the end of the day, this 'competition' just requires you to be hovering over the "Post" key when the time comes to submit your post. Quick draw wins, all quality aside. That's fine by me... maybe one month I'll be quick enough.
I tend to agree the photo should not be pulled. Mosty of us are way over society having too many rules and changing rules. Also goes against the official, unofficial 4wding Party First rules :P
Also got to feel for the mods (that was feel for the mods, not feel up a mod) that give their time to this forum and shouldn't have to worry about an abundance of rules. Good job prado-admin and good initiative.
... now I have a brown paper bag full of colourful pieces of paper with numbers on them, mostly orange and green, where would you like them sent in exchange for say 15 votes and a closed March voting session

I find it amazing that MLC is able to photo-shop his Ssang Yong into a Grande Prado in every one of his pictures, yet no one has picked it up or complained.....

It will be harder now given I side swiped it on a metal post last night....... extremely not happy Jan.

True maybe, but there is a big difference between editing your contrast and sharpness and a complete fabrication!

Have to say I agree with you there Mark - I don't have a huge number of photo's of mine off-road so didn't enter March or April. I could have fabricated photo's of mine but what would have been the point? Even if I didn't own up to it I still would have known.
I understand that there was no rule to prevent it - would have been hard to decide which were true and which weren't anyway (unless ridiculous).
I have no problem with editing out things that detract from the image or generally tidying things up provided the 'spirit' of the competition is maintained.

I was trying not to comment more on this but definitely agree with both of you. I usally trim some edges from my photos and improve the contrast, hide the rego, and maybe even increase the colour saturation, but these are all VERY minor improvements compared to entirely changing a photo's back drop.
I can see the humour in editing photos like that, and wouldn't mind to see more, but not in a competition. We already have a very limited number of entries possible due to the way it's been organised, so wasting an entry like that is plain selfish.

That's an absolute shame, but I know how you feel. I too have a nice scrape across the rear bumper now,
which happened on the 2011GTG when I reversed into a Steel Drum, I still haven't fixed it yet.
Crickee, what a topic on editing photos, I think bworth has done a very clever entry.
It really is amazing what you can do in the Adobe Suite if you are creative.
I didn't worry about adjusting my entry, I just scaled the pixels down to the 800x533 for the web.
Otherwise the file size is huge for viewing, they're 7-9mb a photo on an 18MP SLR camera.
Seeing I took the photo in March this year I thought it was fitting.
I only coloured the number plates in as per the option given in the guidlines.
The camera settings used follow the image at the bottom of the shot.
The photo was one of many I took that arvo as I was trying to get the right shot of the flames for my wifes website.

Nope. passenger side, very noticable, at the rear. Had a little cry and have made up my mind to send it to a panel beater and painter to get the door fixed as well as the mess on the passenger rear. Will have to wait until I get back from WA trip just in case.
May hand my license in also as it is unforgivable to make such a dumb mistake. Yes I admit, this is the first time I have had an "accident the was my fault" No excuses, no reasons, just a lapse in contact with my testosterone that caused me to drive like a woman.
