Seems the fishing will start north east of Port MacDonnell. Any ideas on the route down yet? Down the Darling perhaps? I've got all the time in the world but those on a tighter leave schedule may want to take a more direct route down and back. How about going home via the Donohue and Plenty Highways. Faster than the Simpson and an alternative route! I'm holding off my own trip planning to see where/how others want to travel to and from the 2012GTG.2007 120 GXL 3.0L D4D Auto, Sovereign bullbar, King springs, Bilstein shocks, Coil-Rite airbags, ARB rear diff lock, OI front & OppLock rear recovery points, BFG LT AT's, TJM snorkel and underbody protection, GME 3440 UHF, dual battery & ABR dual battery solenoid, custom front cargo barrier, Waeco CF50DZ fridge/freezer, custom drawers, 4 * extended breathers, Hilux washer jets, Narva Ultima 225 driving lights, 4 * MaxTrax, Rhino platform rack, Open Sky awning, 2* Pradopoint stickers

Hi Bobsled
Stewy is looking to arrange a small meeting before the end of year and this would be a hot topic of discussion.
I'm planning on 1 week either side of the GTG for travel to and from.

We were planning a trip down that way anyway next year and hopefully can fit the GTG in as we enjoyed this years event so much. Like Bobsled, we are waiting to see what others are planning to/from before we finalise our plans. Looking forward to seeing other's ideas. Was Prado 150 GXL T/D auto, graphite, tint, factory towbar, D697LT, Autosafe cargo barrier, ARB deluxe bar, ABR-Sidewinder dual battery & monitor, GME TX3440, ARB fridge, Safari snorkel, Maxtrax, Tekonsha P3, ScanGaugeII, OME suspension, Tigerz11 winch, TG150, Now Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with QL and ORAII

Hello all,
Like Bobsled & A10, I have been waiting for further developments.
I have asked for leave from 21 Sep and will be traveling down to Gympie to catch up with Family for however long, then maybe catch up with the SEQ team in the F.U.P. for the final assault on the Crow Eaters, in the far far away land where crows are very, very scared.
Hopefully, see you on the tracks
Lawrie

Dates at this stage look good for me as they fall during School holidays. Just waiting for the wife to find out when she can take leave after starting her new job.Black 2009 150 Series D4D GXL Prado, TG150 Transfer Case & Actuator Guard, TJM T13 bar, TJM 9.5lb Winch, Airtec Snorkel, TJM steel sidesteps and sidebars, TJM Underbody Protection, TJM XGS Gold Suspension, Tinted, ARB Fridge Freezer, Couplertec System, Foxwing Awning, 80AH Dual battery, 8" indash GPS, Wet Seat seatcovers, GME TX3540, TX3110 & TX680, Maxtrax, Kaymar Dual Wheel Carrier, Breathers, Federal MT's.

The Qld Crew were out recently practicing maneuvers for the event of animal strikes on the way down south next year.
Here's a pic from the training.
Will you boys in SA have anything like this to watch out for?

Nice job on the pic Stewy, I can gaurantee we will have plenty of wildlife for you to dodge on the trip! Water on the other hand......... we are the dryest state in the dryest continent on earth so a water crossing might be difficult, unless you want to cross the Murray the hard way

AJ, we'll just have to get my water crossing fetish sated on the way there, with the amount of rain that NSW and Qld have had the last couple of years I'm sure we'll find somewhere to get some more shots that we can show to the SA crew

i am definitely keen to join in the treck, the longer the trip down the better for me, i had plans of heading to perth via sa around this time of the year anyways so tagging along the adventurous way to sa with you great people and then heading over to perth after the GTG sounds like the best way to do it. I am definitely keen to join the convoy.
keen keen keen lol
