That winch you see on the 90 series is a TJM 9000lb that was one of the prizes at the 2011GTG hope you guys are lining up the sponsors

The directions you see on the map is only a generalised direction.
The actual route taken next year will be formulated over the coming months.

AJ and Committee - any word yet on where the last "ocean" side gathering of the GTG will be. The SEQ crew would like to know in order to plan a hasty departure (we don't retreat and we don't withdraw!) after the last night. The map in the photo was just to lull you all into a false sense of security. AJ when do you think you'll travel up to the Bendleby Ranges? On the 28th September perhaps??!!2007 120 GXL 3.0L D4D Auto, Sovereign bullbar, King springs, Bilstein shocks, Coil-Rite airbags, ARB rear diff lock, OI front & OppLock rear recovery points, BFG LT AT's, TJM snorkel and underbody protection, GME 3440 UHF, dual battery & ABR dual battery solenoid, custom front cargo barrier, Waeco CF50DZ fridge/freezer, custom drawers, 4 * extended breathers, Hilux washer jets, Narva Ultima 225 driving lights, 4 * MaxTrax, Rhino platform rack, Open Sky awning, 2* Pradopoint stickers

Not sure what the others on the Committee are palnning as far as heading up to Bendleby goes but in may case I expect to travel DOWN to Bendleby. On my bucket list is to climb to the top of Saint Mary's peak (which is the highest point in Wilpena pound and the Flinders) leaving in the wee hours of the morning so I can be at the peak to watch the sun rise, hopefully I will get a chance to do this a couple of days before the GTG and then depending on what last minute things need to be organised head to Bendleby on the 27th or 28th. Hopefully I will still be capable of walking at the GTG as this is a 7 hour hike in the daylight and I would call it a rating 3 hike if I was using the rating system for the driving at the 2011 GTG.
Its a long way off at this point so plans might change.
