Hey Quicky, we've finally heard from you (or have you been posting somewhere that I missed.) Been wondering if you were still joining us in Cameron Corner. Doesn't sound like you're towing the van though. Look forward to meeting up again at the Corner on Tuesday 25th ready for the SA onslaught. Safe travels to you and to everyone else as we all begin to hit the road. It's gonna be great. (The Victorians will have a big job topping this next year - and making sure it doesn't clash with the Grand Final)
Well Dave the car is loaded and can't wait to hit the road after a lunch engagement tomorrow.Only thing is I have to find some space for something important I left on the rumpus room floor, the BEER. See you Tuesday
Quicky

Got the winch wired up... in between thunder storms.
BUT... I can't get the wire to spool up and fit on the drum.
By the time it's hitting the guides I still have 6 mtrs or so to go.
I've got it attached to a tree in my driveway but it's flat and there's no load on the wire. Any other way to get a load on it other than applying the handbrake or finding a bigger slope?
is the car drive - able unless you,ve had to much to drink, wrap the excess cable around ya bar and head to the nearest test track and winch it up the nearest hill? .. if it dont work dont rely on it at the gtg..
cheers butane

Got the compressor in and wiring for brake controller. Now to terminate it all. Have a feeling I should have read the instructions for the compressor before I ran everything...... Oh well.....
That moment when you try your compressor, it switches on then nothing. You spend 20 mins looking for a blown fuse. Nothing. Hang on, this one is more advanced than the last. It has a pressure switch
After a late start, a couple of hours later I have swapped out the Narvas for the IPF's.
Couldn't bring myself to cut the Narva wiring harness so removed it completely and reinstalled the IPF harness in its place.
Much better fit on the bar, a simpler wiring harness, a mouse switch that doesn't light up the cabin when ye lights are on and I'd say a nicer light produced by the lights.
So, after the kids are in bed I just have to locate the mouse switch neaten up the wiring under the dash.

After I drop Zo and the kids at the airport on Tuesday morning for a 7:55am flight to Melb.
So that gives me 3.5'ish days to get to the Bendleby ranges.

All afternoon, a 6 pack of beers, and the bracket for the Racor is welded and painted. Now to replace the broken foglights in the ARB bar and fit the new LED park/indicators.
