Chainsaw an issue in parks anywhere a long the way or not really required? Normally sits on my cargo barrier and I'll make sure it's fuelled up this time.

Its highly unlikely that a chainsaw will be of much value, Ngarkat is the only place that I would suspect we could get a tree fall across the track and mallee aren't very thick or heavy.

AJ, we have never used a chainsaw on the border track have we. Oh yes we did only the time time I packed mine.
Hibbo also did his own Texas chainsaw impression obtaining fire wood on the Vic side of course about a year ago.
I still beleive someone should bring 1 chainsaw out of all of us and Weasal has room

Dear committee. My final pre GTG question is: Does MLC really have to come???? You know he's going to lead everyone in his group astray, and generally just be a rascal......

True, but we aren't going on that section of the Border Track, and to be honest we only used it because you never had, and it looked good in the photo It wasn't exactly a huge tree!
We will also be going into Ngarkat the day after a long weekend, I imagine all the tracks will be travelled by someone over that weekend.
Cheers Andrew

What is the fire wood situation? Should we bring it in with us or can it be collected or purchased at a reasonable price at the camps?

Bendleby supply firewood, we won't need any for Loxton at the caravan park. Andrew is picking up a trailerload of split redgum firwewood next Wednesday and we'll ask everyone to each carry a little bit on their rigs for Red Bluff and at Beachport. Soooo ... no need for you to bring any

Oh, and what about water? I'm guessing none at Red Bluff but water at the other sites?

Correct, rainwater at Bendleby and filtered water at Loxton and Beachport. We have a 100ltr water tank under the camper so we can help out at Red Bluff if anyone runs short.
