Sitting here in Williamstown (SA) watching Pat Callinans 4x4 adventures, including the one on the Flinders Ranges and one on the Canning Stock Route, has me yearning for more outback driving. Now, which way back to Kalgoorlie?

A few more random pics.
Crossing the Murray river at Morgan on the FREE ferry service (just rubbing the free part in for the Queenslanders)
And some of the wildlife including a Mallee Fowl which are quite rare, and an Echidna that decided to save himself by digging into the road, he took some shifting to get him to safety.

Seems I was a bit slack on the first day on the Border Track and have no photos that are any good from that day, hopefully some others in our group are able to post some good pics, particularly those of Rev running out the winch after his forward momentum was prematurely halted.
Being the leader of the first group out on day 2 on the border track I thought I should set the standard when we reached the first of the giant bog holes, they were pretty dry so not nearly as bad as they looked. After I went in almost everyone followed.

Looking at those Picks of the Bog Holes on the Border Track, is a good example of why you should get out and test the depth of the waterfirst. In this case they appear to be dry but I can just imagine a gung-ho driver trying to plough through when full of water without checking first (would definitely be a Youtube moment!)2004 V6 Grande. And there are plenty of those vids on Utube, morons not checking and going straight in. The mud in these holes turns to absolute goop and at their worst nothing that goes in comes out without a winch or a snatch.

AJ I'm out of words now (almost) nothing is free in Qld (except the queue at Centrelink) now we have "Can't do Campbell", I didn't think anything would stop Revs double locked 150.
