That is VERY funny. It was Lea that actually asked the question. Her response was "You didn't try hard enough!

Oh, and a few people didn't know about the 'Bush Welding Demo' AJ did last year so here's that one.

Just noticed this question on the YouTube clip of this video...
I ran a tech day at my place for our club a year or 2 ago, we had a group that all had a go and probably burned through 6-8 rods. 2 of the batteries were smaller sedan size batteries and the voltage drop was miniscule, something like .1 of a volt.
Short answer, you will run out of rods before you run out of battery power. Its easy enough to whack the multimeter on after every few welds if you are worried and if needed, put the batteries back in, charge tehm and then go again, not that I think you would ever need to do this. 6-8 rods is a lot of welding for a bush repair, if the job is that big you have probably stopped and set up camp, so time is probably not an issue.
Cheers Andrew

Andrew gives a demo of his home-made bead breaker after selfishly popping both his front tyres off the bead for the sole purpose of this demonstration

I might have to think of something else for the next GTG I hadn't planned on doing the bead breaking but seeing how as I had to do it then thought I could turn it into a "training exercise"
Maybe I can do a demo on how to carve a crankshaft out of a fence post
Not much pressure, probably under 20psi, still pumped it for a fair while afterwards to get it back to pressure, no different to the pressure at the tyre dealers really.
Cheers Andrew

Here's a 5 min vid of the ridge trail (not Billy Goat Ridge)
Two sections show the drop off either side quite well.

Well after conquering The Bendleby Ranges and The Hungry Ranges, Blitzing the Border Track and negotiating the Narrow Sand Tracks Between Beachport and Robe, it would be fair to say that every vehicle was subject to some "GTG Bush Pinstripping". Boomer 52 took a short drive out of Adelaide up the freeway to sunny Murray Bridge to get his GTG Bush Pinstripping removed at Superior Auto Care.
At first look I didn't hold much hope for some of the scratches but with a bit of hard work and elbow grease, we got 95% of them out.
While he was there I replaced his old PP sticker with the new design PP sticker.
Now SWMBO wants hers done, Thanks Dennis !!
