        • 4ltrs I think was around $100 was a while ago I use maybe 300-400ml each time maybe less . I only do the sides .
You can put on multiple coats if it was going to be really bad for scratches . I had it on the car for 3 weeks when I went to the cape .
          Worked great.
There are 1ltr bottles as well

          • Quarry springs lookout has some great views but space is tight at the top. Some of us enjoying the views and taking pics while the rest of the group wait there turn further down the hill.

And another stop at a lookout for some great views.

            • A nice steep climb of the plain back up the range for some more action!

We told people Bendleby could be tough on tyres, can you tell why?

And the descent off the ridge top track is a nice steep one!

              Cheers Andrew

                • It was a bit of a bottle neck by the time we headed up Billygoats, most of the groups watched the previous groups head up. All the 150's with traction control had no worries, likewise anyone with a rear locker. For everyone else it was dependant on how many rocks had been spat out by the previous person up the ridge, if the rocks remained in place then you got through, if the previous driver dislodged them then you got cross axled and went no further.

Foxclan was 4th up in our crew with the three before him having no issues, but the 3rd vehicle spat out some rocks so track building was needed to get Troy through.

Cross axled and spinning means no more go

until some track building has occured

                  And then on his way.

Almost everyone attempted Billygoats and almost all of them made it up without major incident. We did however have one serious brown pants moment just up the ridge from the previous photos. Once again Foxclan was the unlucky one with the slightest of errors seeing him slip side ways and drop a wheel of the edge of Billygoats. For those on the trip or those that have been here you will know that the drop offs are big, and steep, and bloody scary.

I'll leave you in suspence for a while but the pictures will tell the story........... stay tuned as many of those on the trip are yet to see these.

                  Cheers Andrew

                  • Was anyone running muddies ?? if so how did they go on the sand compared to the A/T's ?? Did they want to bury them selves or with lower pressures they handled it just as good ?? .............Cheers Steve

                    • This G2G would have to have been one of, if not the best, 4wd trip I have done. Great people. great tracks, awesome scenery and fun nights round the campfires had by all.

Here are some photos to elaborate on AJ's story of Foxclan's slight mishap on Billy Goats:

As we said all through the trip though, this was just one of the many "training exercises" the trip leaders held for us!

Steve I was running muddies and I did have to use a lot more power and air down more than the the others with their AT's. It was easy to see that my muddies "dug" more than "floated" across the sand.

                          • That looks like a heart in throat moment and be lucky if the undies were still there original colour as well ?? Obviously little room for any mishaps or miss judgement or a front end that spears off from where you wanted it to be lol........Glad no one was hurt, thats the main thing.........Havnt been up there before myself...............Cheers Steve

Just one instance where thePradopoint Fairy cost our team a $1 each. Will post some more examples over the next few days.

Seems team mlc had a strong but coincidental relationship with the Fairy.

                              • So here are a few more pics from the top of Billygoats. After the initial incident which was quite a scary situation for those in the vehicle I was very impressed with the recovery effort, people's willingness to assist and to follow instructions. We quickly devised a plan to winch Troy backwards as Hibbo right behind him had a winch. Although this was not completely without risk, after packing extra rocks around the wheels we also devised a "B plan". We could winch the car a few mm's at a time and reassess after each short pull, if the Prado moved even slightly closer to the edge the plan was for me to take those in front to the top and return travelling the wrong way down the hill to winch from the front which would have been the ideal way to go, then do a 27 point turn to turn around on the ridge top and head back up again. As it turned out; and as I had expected the rear winching did the job and a very slow and careful recovery had Troy back on terra firma.

And almost back on terra firma

                                Cheers Andrew
