Change of plans

Hi Steve & others,

It looks like the few of us that were going on Thursday, for one reason or another, it works out better not to.
(reasons like , operations , doing as you are told , broken vehicles & pool constuction companies delaying things ).

Steve I will meet up with you Friday morning.
will call you later to work out details & then update first post so others can meet at same time & place if they like.

I was hoping to announce the birth of a bouncing new grandkid by now but nothing is happening, due Thursday so as long as he/she is not late I will be able to make it to Talbertville on the weekend. The only problem is there may be no room in the campground, sounds like it will be crowded with Prados.

I have Fri off work, so will be heading to Dargo in the morning to get there just after lunch, sounds like you will be going in the arvo, if u go am, will tag along

We are heading up Friday morning (hopefully leaving Berwick at 7.00am -ish), just working out which way we are heading and waiting to find out what time and where we are meeting. I note the other PPers are also now going up Friday morning, so you're welcome to come up with us or with the others.

#######, which way are you planning to go to Talbotville? Are you going direct or planning to do a few tracks on the way? Hope to catch up with all there, if not before.

Not sure yet, on one hand it's good to get there. On the other hand, tracks & sights is what we are there for so, that says head in early, & cut through, but....... Who knows how long it could take in the wet conditions.
I'm thinking if you are leaving Berwick at 7 am, plenty of time to check out some tracks, no point getting there at 11am...........
I will have a squizz at the map tomorrow.

Hey James, is it a first for that branch? You know the first is always late, it might be Thursday next week.
So your hoping for some bouncing between now & Thursday? Then going to head off Friday? Nice work.
Lucky Talbotville is a big spot, & being so cold up there we don't have to worry about space.

Just a question, if the forcast is sub zero temp's at night do we need Alpine fuel? or is any of the Diesel fuel additives ok?

I'd suspect, it won't be that cold it will freeze our fuel, it hasn't done so far, eg last June.
How do you know which servos have the alpine mix? I think it's a wax or something.
Don't know too much about it.

Just checked forecast and min for Talbotville overnight is 4c. I'm pretty sure Dargo and Mansfield servos sell alpine diesel, not sure about others.
I don't know too much either, but think will be "warm" enough.

It is her second and the first was two week early, bubs is just hanging in there to mess the weekend up.

Alpine fuel is available at all servos around the ski fields and prevents the fuel waxing in zub zero temps. That will not be a problem this weekend, mainly a problem if the vehicle is parked all day or overnight in the snow.
