This thread is fantastic. Makes me start thinking about preparations. So far I've cleaned up all the undercarriage damage. Next will be converting my 3 seater into a 4 seater.....

Hang in there. You have two weeks to go, then the stress of making sure 38 other vehicles and the attendees have a great time and then its over almost before it began. I am seriously looking forward to this GTG as like the rest of the committee from 2012, we really didn't have any time to smell the roses along the way.

Oh, and after making it sound bad, never lose sight of the fact that everyone appreciates the effort, you will see it in their smiles, their happiness and their tired faces at the end of the day, even if they don't say it, you will know it.

Except when you are setup and unfairly and harshly fined $$$ every night except the meet and greet night.

Isn't that right, Mr smell the roses!!! mlc

Its simple Rev, he who loses his badge will be fined, whether someone stole your badge the first time or whether he then "magically " lost it (every night) to give reason to contribute to the cause and get some good laughs is irrelevant.

If there is anything I can do to help, just let me know I will make time. I know where you live and my passport is up to date too :-).

How sweet, yes, on behalf of the SA attendees we offer any assistance AJ120 can provide, free of charge of course.

          mlc caring through others.

No, I genuinely lost it the first night. As for every other night, either you had a big stack of id cards with my name on them like a lot of people believed, or I somehow managed to "lose " mine every night right after the briefing for the next day.

Now that I think back on this, Dodgey Dave was involved also!!

Finally got the Kaka back today, thought I was going to be bringing the loan car to the GTG for a while there (it was a Falcon LOL). I'll be able to get the false floor and slide finished now, that reminds me I need to order the slide.

The Safari Snorkel and dual battery kit are all installed and running. Have tested the isolator and it seems to be doing what it's meant to. Have 2 lovely new Century batteries to provide the juice (thanks again for sourcing those for me ####).
Appreciate the offer, but its really under control, stuff I have to do, just time consuming. But if I think of anything I will let you know. I was really just thinking out aloud.

              Thank you.

Mmmm, that is unfair to use my name in such a manner, and associate my good self with such dishonest, uncaring and socially unacceptable behaviour.

I hope I will not find the badge in my possession again this year

The Prado is packed and ready to go. We are heading off in the morning and going via St George, Bourke and then doing the Darling River Run down to Wentworth. Taking a few days along the way to check out Louth, Tilpa, Menindee and Mungo National Park.

Safe travels everyone, looking forward to catching up in Mansfield on April 8.

                                Cheers
