Finally made it home today. Thanks to everyone involved before, during and after the GTG for making this a great trip.
Some of the stats from our logs...
13100 km travelled in total.
2164.5 l of diesel used
Total fuel bill was $2853
Average price of fuel $1.32 dearest was $1.42 at Gladstone in Tassie and cheapest $1.22 at Warnambool
Average 16.5l/100km-- no break up of km with and without van but around half with the van at around max GCM and Prado around GVM
Other useless information from the trip computer is 260 hours spent in the drivers seat at an average speed of 50.2km/h.
Oh and we almost finished the 8th audio book on the way home, Bryce Courtney goes for 23 hours ffs.
Now i have 10 days to recuperate and catch up before going back to work.

We burnt a lot of fuel too. Most went on the credit card which has been paid off. Had a great time so the cost doesn't worry us.Dave

Makes our 5500KM for the GTG look like a drive to the shops.
That's not bad fuel consumption we averaged 15.2L/100km.
And we are a hell of a lot lighter.

Has anyone got a GPX track of the GTG days? Mine's been lost and I'd like to add it to my places traveled map or a google earth KML track?

Have been jealous of you guys cruising around after the GTG while I went straight back into it.
I had the additional week then a few days to get home but they just kept telling us how they were having such a good time there.
Can't wait to get back.
