I think the ferry must have hit a whale on the crossing. There was a huge bang. Either that or a small boat, but nothing on the news.
The crossing was a little rougher than the first one.
Now to sort out all the pics and videos. Tassie really deserves more time. I will have to return another time. The West coast needs some more exploring. Montezuma falls track was certainly interesting. It was all in all a great trip. Many thanks to the organising team. You all did a great job.
But I did spot a couple of Whales whilst fishing central north coast on Wednesday night.

First Scallop pie for this trip and probably still my favorite was at Bossimi Bake house/café in Sheffield.
Picked up a cold six pack of scallop pies from the "Nice & Tasty" bakery on the way to the Spirit in Devonport.
Had one for lunch today, Yep still love em!
Cheers

Wow, how good is Tasmania!!
We recently spent three weeks down there over Christmas camping and 4WDing our way around. Great time of year it was a very pleasant temperature and only one day of rain on boxing day.
We brought the Off Road Tasmania book (http://www.roving.com.au/) which covered 179 tracks in great detail.
The track out to Montezuma Falls was the highlight, not too hard but a beautiful drive following the route of the old train line. On the return we used Ring River track which was a bit harder but we had no problems.
The Jefferys Track down near Hobart was also good
Sandy Cape Track, about half way down

We did the Balfour Track, lots of long water sections and a fair bit of mud, as expected. We didn't have too many problems but we did get stuck in a big bog hole around the half way mark. The mud came about half way up the doors, I guess thats why you have teenagers, to run the winch cable out and get really muddy. I think he secretly like it.
The start of the Balfour
