with ARB Catalog, with TJM add ons!
As far as tyres go, we carry just 2 spares, 1 on the car and 1 on the camper. All are interchangeable. A good plug kit is advisable.
As has been said above, we're all using the same wheels more or less, so won't be an issue while we're on the GTG. Maybe carry an extra spare if you're doing the Tanimi by yourself.
Regarding the Facebook page, there's been quite a few requests to join, that's great and most people are easy to spot. But some I see I don't recognise, so if you want to join let us know who you are(PP name).
Hey Whitey,
There have been a couple ask to join & I recognise them as Prado owners & prosective atendees, or good friends of attendees or nice people or all of the prior mentioned, the page is set up so any member can authorise them, so I did.

Yeah, fixed that. Now only admins can add people.
The page is for Pradopointers only.
Can't we just keep travelling?

Should I tell them that you have bought a block of land in WA so that almost qualifies you as West Aussies.

Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China.
So having registered for the GTG What happens if one is swayed away from their Prado and buys (shame) another make in the mean time. Is it possible to still go on the trip or does one have to pull out.

OOhhh, I don't know. I would have to get the general consensus on that one. The last 2 gtg's we've attended had a few others, a FJ Cruiser and a 78 Series...at least they were Toyotas...and Prado owners.
Might come down to how many places are filled. I'm happy to have one or two "others" along, especially since you were/ are a Prado owner. Closer to the cut off date, we will assess where we are at, as we do have a an enquiry for a Hilux to tag along if we are agreeable. I also have to keep in mind that I have quoted certain numbers to get good camping rates, so I would like to have as fuller compliment as possible.
What does everyone think?
Happy owner of a Dark Red 120 D4D with lots of lovely extra bits.
On here cos I opened my mouth at the Tassie GTG to organise a WA GTG.

I think you have it pretty well covered.
John in the Hilux is a nice bloke, I'd like to have him along, the Hilux has the same engine, sounds good to me
Tricky has me worried, not a jeep I hope ?
I Don't have an issue with other vehicles, I suppose as long as its mainly Prados.
It's not like you could or would turn anyone away if they sold their Prado & turned up in something else suitable.

Definitely not a jeep Just looking to upgrade for a larger towing capacity Haven't done it yet Weighing up the purchase of another brand or upgrading the prado's suspension above 2.5 for a van
Crikey, if he buys a Jeep the friendship might be over!

200 series would be best, no? You will be driving, thinking, what trailer.
Or stick with a lighter tow, 2.5 plus is a lot to be lugging, must be pretty luxurious...... Glamping........
No chance of buying a Jeep. Need to cover the 3 tonne range for an off roader van we like. dont want to part with the prado it is too good to do that but need that extra weight and cant afford to go up to a 200 series (etven though I would like to) Checking out the Rangers at the moment to see if there is anything wrong with them other than being ford
