Had exactly the same experiences in the last week, thanks to Dwolbers and Hoppy who helped me out with a friendly dealer. Stitched up a new VX D4D due for delivery Nov 1. Look out world.
Luckily I qualified for fleet but PM me and I will pass on the dealer details.
sangmkiv, I hope you dont get yours before i get mine.
Have you been given a firm date of the 1st Nov ??
I was told november but i dont expect it till dec.
XV, I recommended the dealer you recommended to me!! They gave me the best quote but I had just signed the paperwork elsewhere when the quote came through. Not much in it though. Thanks again
oh, OK...goodonya, as long as we are all winning the price war
I admit to having a love affair with screwing prices on cars, I just dont understand why they rip off so many people, anyway...get off my soapbox
Hope they all get a fast boat out here, I am over the moon with my new one
I have a question for you guys, in particular the fleet buyers.
I too am interested in a new VX Prado D4D, so I contacted my fleet company to get a quote. The quote that came back to me sounded really good (circa $60K) for a bog standard auto VX with metallic paint (silver) and no other options.
However, when I queried about whether the price included GST or not, the fleet company said that they don't include it, as they pay for the GST and claim it back under an imputation credit, whatever that means.
I'm not so concerned about that process, but what does concern me is that the quote that I have gotten, if it included the 10% GST, would be around the $66K mark.
Now you guys are getting quotes far better than that.
Are your prices inclusive of GST or is it not included?
Thanks in advance,

Your lease quote is correct in that under a novated lease you dont finance the GST component as they (the financier) claim it back
Bear in mind in this case you are liable for Luxury tax and you also have to apply the ceiling limit on GST
The figures you have seen of circa 60k on this forum definately DO include GST and all on roads. On this basis you would be financing about 56/57 ish under a novated lease
Hi everyone,
Looks like a lot of you are up in Sydney, can anyone recommend any dealers in Melbourne?
I too am looking at the VX Prado. I have been a Landrover owner for the past 2 4WD's but I just cant afford the repair bills anymore.
At the moment I am tossing up between the Prado and the Pajero. My wallet keeps saying Pajero but my brain says Prado. I did not realise that Toyota were willing to be so flexible on their pricing so if I can get a VX for the sort of price you guys are talking then that will definately be the way I go.
Adam WELCOME.
Just realized it is you first posting on Pradopoint
I did very, very well with Frankston Toyota, but as always the need to bargain :P
Happy hunting,

Walker,
I live north of Sydney but bought mine from a Melbourne dealer. PM me if you want the contact detail.
Lawrence,
My price circa 63 includes GST and luxury tax and free washes which I will never get unless I drive back to Melbourne :?
so who in Sydney is everyone buying through ?
I reccomended a dude to dwolbers but never heard back
Good to see that info sharing on here is getting the dealers to play fair
Thanks XVPRADO - Im a Melbourne boy and put pressure on the right dealer plus the fleet deal. Missed out on a further $900 bucks due to a Silver Membership not Gold like you. thanks again
If anyone has some good contacts where they got a good deal would you mind sending me a PM or email
Best I can find is about 66k for a VX and about 60k for a GXL option 2 and they both sound way over what some have paid recently
cheers
