  • Toyota Finance Interest Rates

    Hi All
Just thought I would share this, only to ensure that fellow Prado Point people are not paying too much for Toyota Finance for new cars. I just ordered a new 150 and got a rate of 7.48% and no dealer fee. If you have managed even a lower rate, nice one. However, if you are about to buy and pay higher interest, I hope this info is of some help to you.
    Cheers

No 3.9% on any vehicle you'd want to drive any more.

I think they were doing 3.9% on some of the old hiluxs but I think you'd be hard pressed to find one now.

Can always ask your dealership if they can do better. As I understand it though, the rates dealerships get from Toyota Finance are based on the number of vehicles they sell/finance contracts they sign people to. Which is the case with most finance. But if you're at a smaller dealership there's not much you can do.

That 1% makes about $300 a year difference on the full amount over a full term, so it's not a huge amount of money in the scheme of things.

What annoys me about Toyota finance is the fact that even if you opt to pay weekly... You have to pay the monthly amount. Which is fine you'll pay it off quicker right? Incorrect, Toyota take the money from you each week and it sits in a holding account until the end of the month, so there is no advantage, except that you make a few extra weekly payments as they work of 4 week months.
