    Buying a 2nd hand prado

    Gday all,
    Just after some advice... Im looking at a 2005 Diesel Prado GXL auto the asking price is $25000 which from what ive seen is a pretty good price however it has also done 250000km's. Is there anything I should be looking for after so many km's on the clock?

    Cheers for that I was planning to get it RAA checked (providing the car dealer will let me) The body clips is a good point I hadnt thought of

      If the dealer doesn't let you get an RAA check... don't buy it
      Our 6 year old and 3 year old try their hardest to make sure there is no time or money for the other baby

        Well the 05 Prado went out the window, the gap between what they were gonna give me for my vehicle and the asking price for the prado was just to much for us to afford. BUT also had my eye on a 03 GXL diesel unfortunately auto was hoping to get manual. Vehicle looks good inside and out getting a RAA inspection done on tuesday, took it for a drive was quiet no rattles braked in straight line no strange noises so quietly confident may have found a keeper

          Dealerships make easy money of manipulating trade in figures. If they can get away with giving you $2,000 less for your vehicle than what you could get than they've just made an extra 2 grand off you, and it's no different than charging $27,000 for your Prado straight up. If you manage to talk the asking price down by $1,000 than they'll lower your trade in value by $1,000 as well because they can.
          2005 120 series V6 Grande, 2 inch susp lift (King/EFS combo), 32 inch MT’s, Safari Snorkel, rear diff lock, breathers, Light Force spotlights, UHF, dual batteries.

            Youre not wrong there Brett, Still I guess they in the making money business as well just some of em like to make more money than others. Well bought the 03 GXL had it for 2 whole days. now reading up on the bits and pieces if it wasnt so bloody hot outside id be sitting inside it playing
