hi im looking at buying a prado and have seen a very tidy 2003 120 series 2.7 l and was wondering whether anyone has one and can tell me the opinion , ie is the 2.7l got enough power for off road use or is it a highway car

I've used the 2.7L in a 90 series and hilux and I think they're a really nice motor.
Not the most powerful motor but drive very well on and offroad.2011 150series GXL -

The 2.7 is a big 4cyl petrol and are pretty torquey so they would be fine off road. May even be better than the earlier V6's but no where near as good as the 4.0l.

Not an import, just not popular. Was available new in Australia from Feb 2003 in GX trim with either auto or manual and discontinued in 2004.
