Hi all,
We're looking to replace my wife's Honda MDX with a similar sized vehicle. The requirement is for a diesel vehicle with 3 rows of seats, and an excellent safety profile.
She's so far rejected the Ford Territory (Thank goodness!), the Volvo XC90 as well as the Merc R Class.
This leaves the Prado fitting the bill, and which leads to my question...
The Kakadu seems to be the best fit for her, by virtue of it's KDSS plus the variable suspension (One of the kids is very prone to car sickness, but wasn't bothered by the Prado).
I was wondering if anyone who has recently purchased a Kakadu could give me an idea of what I should be paying for one? Suggested on road prices from Brisbane dealers have varied between $87k and $93k for the same vehicle. I'd be buying outright rather than leasing, and would have to finance about 50% of the purchase price.
I work full time in the public health system, and a colleague mentioned that this might give me access fleet pricing on the vehicle.
I've never bought a new car in Australia before, so any other buting tips/advice/guidance would be much appreciated!
I've only made enquiries in Brisbane, but could easily venture further afield if necessary.
Thanks guys.
G.
