Buy a diesel and then rip out the muffler for a straight through.

G'day Moo, a lot of the boys will tell u buy a diesel, but some of use prefer petrol, so good choice and we don't have to worry about overheating gearboxes, dodgy injectors, fuel pumps etc etc. we just fill em up and drive, 150 petrol best car I have owned.

Unlike the diesel there doesn't seem to any documented issues with the petrol auto box.

Thanks guys I did not mean to start a Petrol V Diesel argument. To the Petrol Owners out there do you have to run on 95 octane. or is std 91 OK.

              Thanks

Hutchy has had quite a long love affair with his V6s, so he knows what he is talking about when it comes to fuel. If you get an auto install an aftermarket oil cooler on the front of the radiator panel. The auto will thank you for it. Something Wooley should have done by now.

I actually use sport mode most of the time, haven't noticed any difference in economy but the car labours less. Not sure u need to upgrade anything with auto unless u are constantly towing.

Roo should diesel owners put in an after market oil cooler in their car?

Don't the V6's come standard with a trans cooler? I know they did in the 120's.

                          Cheers Andrew

I will be looking for the Trans Cooler for sure.
What about Factory recalls, I saw a couple of threads relating to drive shafts clunking but I am not sure if that was a diesel, petrol or auto issue? are there others?

I know all the Diesel owners are going to say that the petrol should be recalled and replaced with "real" engines. ;-)

                            Thanks

Moo, the tail shafts are nothing to worry about it is in the design, doesn't happen to all cars, of it does they pump more grease into the shaft and that normally fixes it.
