Don't get too worried about aerial size wait until you get to use it before rushing out and buying a huge thing on a spring mount they don't work that much better in normal conditions and are a PITA for the passenger to look at.

It's all good Richoson, just spoke to the previous owner and he has the other whip. He's happy for me to come and collect it and isn't too far away. He also told me it had a winch when traded, obviously the dealer pinched it because it's not there now.

Was worth ringing eh Fido !!! I always try and find out as much as possible from previous owners, as I wouldn't believe a thing a car sales man told me. Might be worth asking where the winch went to ?? Like when i bought mine they took the headlight covers off it but tried telling me if never had any. I said well the owner told me they were on there and he traded it with them, also tried telling me they made no money on it, I laughed and informed them I had spoken to the original owner and he informed me of what he got trade in price and how much he paid for his new kluger. Only thing he told me that wasn't bullshit was the car was a one owner in great nick............Cheers Steve

Yes the previous owner was very helpful, said he would look for any other bits he may have forgotten to give them. He's even had the 50K service done on it early based on age rather than K's as it's only done ~42K now. I didn't ask what he got for trade-in but I never believe it when they say they're not making any money on it.

Well I'm seriously pissed off today! I just found my old Prado (2002 VX 3.4L V6 Petrol automatic, 100,0020 odd K's on the clock) on the dealer's website and guess what they are asking for it?

Try adding another $950 odd! Granted that includes Stamp Duty and Transfer Fee but it's still way above what they gave me for it. I'm glad I ripped the IPF spotties and CB off it before I traded it, should have known they would BS me on what they could sell it for.
