I traded in an '02 95 series with just a smidge over 100K on it a month ago, dealer had it on the yard at almost $20K.

What price is the Altitude though? Dealers can always make you happy with the trade in $$ but they would be making that money elsewhere!

Not really evidence, more a 'guide'.

I wonder what I would get for my 09 Grande with 60k on the clock?

Ugh, red book rarely gets it right. I have sold around 30 cars a year as part of bankrupt estates and failed companies. Never really been close to what we get at auction with variances both higher and lower.

Interestingly you can significantly improve returns by crossing a border, say from SA to Mexico in the east and make an extra 3-4k on some models.

Interesting that today they have replaced the 09 with a 07, just a white ex-mining tray back starting at $56K. Must have been something wrong with the 09 if it went for $52. Had some goodies on it too with fat tyres, a nice fully tarped up rear, etc. Oh well, I still have my Prado.
