Yes, A duplicate thread wasnt really needed, expansion of your previous one would have worked as well.

I think bottom line you have to decide what you want, and more importantly, What can your budget afford.
Its no use pipe dreaming on a laden D4D Grande with all the trimmings if its 15K above what you really want to be spending. Simple theory.

As a note, bargains can be had with patience and looking.
My Ex-wife just recently picked up a Pearl white 07 GXL, 103k, Mickey Thompson 265/70 STZ's, Satnav, rear air, Sahara bar, D4D, Rear Roof DVD player, and full leather.. for $21500!! Owner was moving OS and needed to move it quick.

Figure what you want to spend and keep hunting.

A Pajero will give you many more bells and whistles, a lot cheaper as they have poor resale. I tow with them all the time thru a course of work and they are fine.

That Grande looks good, I would be moving on that pretty quick personally............. if you can drop price its your call on how far you go to missing out on it too.. Ive sold cars before and had people playing price games, to only sell it a couple days later for the asking price.. Always end up with the players abusing you after as you sold it.. sigh..
The v6 tows awesome and economy isnt as bad as some state, especially if you keep 65 series tyres on it. I have pulled into the 8's on highway on 65 series rubber.
Mileage shouldnt be an issue if it has a full service history, mine has 170k and runs perfect.

Stop posting and get ringing that guy!

          Two One Five hundred. 21500..

Did you drop a deposit on Grande pending succesful inspection?

Ive seen times others have booked inspections for days down track and it sells to a punter before hand.

For those newbies... Be careful with the super bargains out there.. there are a number of blokes giving prado's a bit of a haircut.

My last had 200,000kms chopped off!! Was very lucky to get my dollars back!

            Cheers,

It makes me sick in the stomach hearing about that 21500 car. U just described the exact car we want for the exact price we can afford. There was no compromise with it at all. Every other one is a compromise.

Thanks for tip I will call and put down a deposit. Cheers

Your talking a totally different car here?
                            Manual, no rear air, etc..

You really need to decide what you want and can afford..

I would still be going the grande over the gxl..

That car does have rear air. Also dual zone front. Late 07 it became standard on gxl. Yes there are differences auto v manual. Diesel v petrol. But the grande sunroof/leather/airbag rear suspension/leather aren't important. Rear air and reliable good car for 6 with towing ability. The comment seemed really negative and kinda personal. Grande still a great car. Big money and big decision. Give us a break

Well we are about to purchase a 2007 Grande V6 (with 12k of accessories) attached. It has 200k kms on it but very good service history and looks immaculate (and confirmed from service history that its must have been mostle highway kms). think we did pretty well for $21k. I totally agreed with a KDJ being a better option for us, but the Mrs is sick of Diesel fuel issues and i can understand it. Our last 2 cars have had diesel common rail engines and both have suffered very very expensive problems related to poor Australian fuel. Thanks all and if anyone has anything to add with regards to things i should double check on the this type of car? that would be great. Thanks for your help, and THANK goodness we are back in the Prado owning family again, what a great car.
