  • Independent Vehicle Inspections

    Hi Guys,

I understand I should really get an Injector Feedback Value check on a prado I am currently looking into (See thread: http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...errerid=52977)

I tried State Roads, and the mechanic didn't quite understand what he would be looking for. Should I approach a diesel fitter to do the check?

I would obviously like someone independent of where the vehicle has been serviced, as this was the same place that had replaced the block (due to piston 4 being cracked)...
They replaced: Injectors, rail, serviced the head, brand new bottom end altogether. This was all done 12 months ago @ 60,000kms. Warranty is now over on the rebuild. The vehicle now has 90,000kms, owner hasn't had a problem (except for a week after the rebuild where the oil pump hadn't been fitted correctly, and they fixed this up).

it has been recommended to me to get the 'injector feedback values" checked.. can you recommend anyone? Hoping to purchase the vehicle when i travel to Melbourne this Sat for the Grand Final (GO FREO!!!)

    Cheers,
    R

You really need to check the values after leaving the vehicle overnight. Where is it located?
