  • What will you eventually replace the Prado with?

    We all love our Prados.

Otherwise, we wouldn't be frittering away the flower of our youth on Pradopoint, and be so caught up in the whole Prado thing, squandering our childrens' inheritances (doncha just love it though?)

However, the day will inevitably come when we get bitten by the "next car" bug and will want to move the Prado on for a replacement.

    What will it be...??? :? :? :?

      Gees, that's a toughie G'man.

Do I want to get buried in this one ... or ... go and get a new D4D :?: :?: :?:

or .. the best of both worlds ....

Tyler buys this one off me ... at the end of the lease - so it stays in the family - and I go out and buy a new D4D

      Cheers

no idea mate , but it will be another 4wd . At the moment i cant see it being anything but a toyota for the next one BUT dont need a 200 series size , and as this is my first , by the time i go to change there might be a new model prado on the go ! but in the meantime im just enjoying this one .

Ticked Prado but could be Hilux. Just hate leaf springs!

Got asked for advice (again) on cars at work the other day and she asked what I drove. Had to admit that I've had 5 cars and the last 4 have been Toyota and the first (Datto 1600) I only had for 4 months. I'm not biased though!

I picked another D4D Prado but in reality it may be something totally different come four years from now.

Too be honest I thought the LC 200 series had about as much character as a box of kleenex. I climbed all over one at Dubbo whilst waiting for my 5000 k check up on the Prado and I was not all that impressed.

If I had the money I would lay it down for the VW Touareg V10 TDI now that is a beast of a car. I don't think that is ever going to happen in my lifetime.

The v6 prado is the most enjoyable vehicle I have driven. I hate gutless noisy diesels but would like to take a close look at the D4D when and if i'm next in the market to buy.

I voted for the 200 series. It's bigger, much more comfortable and more gadgets to play with.

I'm with you Kel, the 200 gets my vote. If I can afford it...

$90k for the cheapest diesel 200 series with KDSS????? What the... ?? or $80k for the <chuckle> "poverty" pack diesel???

I know its a hell of a car, but that's a hell of a lot of overtime in anyone's language...
