    Removing the third row seats in a GXL is easy and takes about an hour. I have a new floor / fridge support rather than drawers but again not a hard job. The only thing that needs a bit of thought are the trim panels to finish off the job around the GXL side trims. Have a look at my build, pics in there.

    As for the aftermarket suspension I would much rather drive mine on TJM raised suspension than a stock Prado. Better ride, more predictable and better off road. With the VX I think there are enough options out there now to sort out the KDSS lean that was a problem early on.

      I looked at your build: fantastic! It looked just like one at caravan park in Byron Bay, during the Blues fest, this Easter weekend. That one had a bigger camper trailer than the pics of your trailer, but the bull bar and colour and the roof rack looked like your car. The spot lamps on that one looked quite big ones - 7" maybe, with a blue look inside when viewed in the day time.

      Concerning the the KDSS roll - everything I have read, including the engineering aspect, shows that a KDSS vehicle will roll less on bitumen than a non KDSS standard suspension.

      Using stiffer anti-roll bars on a Prado would normally ruin its articulation off road too. A third party suspension - like on my 90 - simply uses variable coil springs, with softer beginnings (hence the better than stock ride) and then stiffer coils (hence less roll), and better shockers.

      KDSS with more roll does not sound right IMO. ??

      I looked too at your build, and I'll comment there ... bit concerned though that a 150 seems to have less space than your previous Prado.

        $58 is good, but $53 is better, I'd go gx.
        Much more room in the back of the gx!
        You can get some decent side steps.
