Removing the third row seats in a GXL is easy and takes about an hour. I have a new floor / fridge support rather than drawers but again not a hard job. The only thing that needs a bit of thought are the trim panels to finish off the job around the GXL side trims. Have a look at my build, pics in there.
As for the aftermarket suspension I would much rather drive mine on TJM raised suspension than a stock Prado. Better ride, more predictable and better off road. With the VX I think there are enough options out there now to sort out the KDSS lean that was a problem early on.
